How to Tell If a Person is Addicted to Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is a fun way to capture special memories forever, and it is also a great way to take one’s mind off of one’s problems. However, some people might find scrapbooking more fun than they had originally thought it would be, and they become addicted to scrapbooking. Luckily, there are various ways to tell if someone might become addicted to scrapbooking.

Personality is Key

Scrapbooking is one of those hobbies that can require a lot of detail. If a person has a penchant for creativity and enjoys doing detailed craft projects like needlework, chances are that person will become addicted to scrapbooking.

Then there are the people who wish they could pursue a creative hobby, but are not particularly good at things like painting, drawing, etc. These people could easily become addicted to scrapbooking, because if one knows how to cut and glue things, then one can scrapbook.

Avid photographers are actually scrapbooking in a way when they compose albums of their work. Once they see how fun it is to add some decoration to the pages of their photo albums and perhaps mix and match elements from their photos, chances are that they will indeed become addicted to scrapbooking.

If a person walks into a craft store and is immediately drawn to things like stickers, glitter, pipe cleaners, and stencils, chances are that person might become addicted to scrapbooking. If one likes to use these things a lot in craft project, chances are the project might be a little overwhelming to look at. However, all of these things can be used in the scrapbooking process as little or as much as one likes.

Another way to tell if a person might become addicted to scrapbooking is if they like to do collages. Making a collage is like making one big scrapbooking page, and the opportunity to fill an entire scrapbook in such a manner would easily appeal to these people.

An added appeal about scrapbooking is that, in its most basic form, all one needs are things that are found around the house and an actual scrapbook. While some creative hobbies can be quite expensive, scrapbooking is one hobby that can be very affordable.

One could make a scrapbook about anything, and thus one could never run out of projects to create. Although certain people are predisposed to becoming addicted to scrapbooking, it is a fun addiction that could be developed by anyone with a sense of creativity.
