Scrapbooking is an artistic hobby that can be quite varied in terms of the subjects one decides to make scrapbooks about. Scrapbooking could be about everyday hobbies or special events. The Newspaper as Scrapbooking Material

Believe it or not, the newspaper can be quite a valuable source of scrapbooking material. Say, for example, that the person that the scrapbook is being made for will soon be celebrating a birthday. On the day of that person’s birthday, buy the newspaper and cut out humorous articles that perhaps remind the person of private jokes. The horoscope for that day could also be cut out and placed among the articles.

Saran Wrap as Scrapbooking Material

Saran wrap does not have to be just for covering leftovers, it can also be a great source of scrapbooking material. A thin layer of saran wrap could be wrapped around some particularly colorful autumn leaves to protect them before gluing them onto a scrapbook page. Saran wrap could also be crumpled, and then spread out over a scrapbook page for an interesting effect.

Stickers as Scrapbooking Material

Stickers are perhaps one of the most popular items when it comes to scrapbooking material. They come in all different sizes, and can represent lots of different special occasions. Ideas for stickers include them being used to embellish photographs or to fill empty space on a scrapbook page. Stickers also come in the form of letters, which is a creative way to embellish captions.

Construction Paper as Scrapbooking Material

Construction paper is something that has been used for endless craft projects, and scrapbooking is no exception. Construction paper lends itself well for seasonal scrapbooks. A fun idea is to take some white construction paper and make small snowflakes for a wintry scrapbook. One could also cut out flowers for a spring scrapbook, or a sun as decoration for a summer scrapbook.
